Eldest son of Dr. Kishore & Purnima Nadkarni has recently passed his MS, General Surgery exams from Manipal Hospital, Karnataka with first rank & a gold medal. Akshay has always been a brilliant student of Vallabh Ashram School, Killa Pardi who topped in elocutions, debates & sports like badminton, swimming. He epresented his school in various extracurricular activities. Akshay stood first all throughout his school days & also secured 95% marks in 12th CBSC board of India securing 99% marks in Biology subject for which he received Gold medal & cash of 15,000 Rs from President, New Delhi.

Akshay did his undergraduate studies of MBBS from Karamsad Medical College, standing at top all the time & getting first rank & 2 gold medals in final MBBS – medals in Gynec subject & for topping in college. He represented the Karamsad Medical College in badminton & secured many trophies. Akshay selected to do his postgraduate exams in MS General Surgery in Manipal. He received training of World class under many good & world renowned surgeons. Akshay published 4-5 papers during his tenure & received a gold medal & best paper prize in annual Colorectal Surgery Conference in Goa. He was the youngest Colorectal Surgeon to get the coveted prize which was given to him by none other than the Chief Minister of Goa. Akshay also was a youngest surgeon who was a faculty in annual Colorectal Surgery Conference which took place in Coimbatore, in 2010 Jan.
