Dr Pooja Nadkarni
Dr Pooja Nadkarni the eldest daughter of Dr. Kishore & Purnima is really a star material. Always stood first in all exams in school & came first in CBSC board of India in class 12 breaking all records getting 98% marks. For this she received president’s medal from Delhi. She did her MBBS, MD in Gynecology with 4 gold medals. She took her training in Infertility & Assisted reproductive technology from her mother & father. She did her fellowship in advanced Gynec endoscopy under Dr. Liseletto Mettler in Kiel, Germany. She also did her training in ultrasound under Dr. Purnima, Dr. B. I. Patel, Ahmedabad.
Dr. Pooja & Dr. Prabhakar together work hand in hand in creating test tube babies in 21st Century Hospital & Test Tube Baby Center, Surat. In last 3 years they have given more than 450 successful IVF/ ICSI babies & 250 IUI babies. Dr. Pooja & Dr. Prabhakar did their advanced training in ART, Assisted Hatching & Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis in U.K. under Dr. Joyce Harper who is one of the pioneer scientists in this field. Pooja & Prabhakar have started doing assisted hatching of embryos to improve implantation rate of failed cases in ART.
Pooja is a good swimmer, badminton champion, basket ball player, Gymnast & all round student of Vallabh Ashram School, Killa Pardi. Today she is mother of 3 sons- Samvit 3 yrs old & twin boys Aaryan & Vivaan who are one year old. Pooja manages home front as well as her profession very well.
In the last 7 years at Surat she has become the most successful IVF Specialist in city & has given more than 3500 babies for childless couples. Her passion is “Running” and she has completed many Marathons.
Dr. Ashkay Nadkarni
Eldest son of Dr. Kishore & Purnima Nadkarni has recently passed his MS, General Surgery exams from Manipal Hospital, Karnataka with first rank & a gold medal. Akshay has always been a brilliant student of Vallabh Ashram School, Killa Pardi who topped in elocutions, debates & sports like badminton, swimming. He epresented his school in various extracurricular activities. Akshay stood first all throughout his school days & also secured 95% marks in 12th CBSC board of India securing 99% marks in Biology subject for which he received Gold medal & cash of 15,000 Rs from President, New Delhi.
Akshay did his undergraduate studies of MBBS from Karamsad Medical College, standing at top all the time & getting first rank & 2 gold medals in final MBBS – medals in Gynec subject & for topping in college. He represented the Karamsad Medical College in badminton & secured many trophies. Akshay selected to do his postgraduate exams in MS General Surgery in Manipal. He received training of World class under many good & world renowned surgeons. Akshay published 4-5 papers during his tenure & received a gold medal & best paper prize in annual Colorectal Surgery Conference in Goa. He was the youngest Colorectal Surgeon to get the coveted prize which was given to him by none other than the Chief Minister of Goa. Akshay also was a youngest surgeon who was a faculty in annual Colorectal Surgery Conference which took place in Coimbatore, in 2010 Jan.
Received Gold Medal and Scholarship from Department of Biotechnology Board New Delhi for securing highest marks in biology in India CBSE Board Class 12th awarded by the Education Minister Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi.
State level (Gujarat) Badminton player for Valsad District for 3 consecutive years from 1997-2000.
Gold medal in Gynecology Subject in the final MBBBS part 2 exam in Feb 2006.
1st rank and topper of Pramukh Swami Medical College, Karamsad, Anand, Sardar Patel University, Vidyanagar, Gujarat in final MBBS part 2 exam in Feb 2006.
3 Scientific publications in the field of General Surgery in International Journals (case reports) and 3 International Papers on Robotic and laparoscopic surgeries.
Presented posters and oral papers in 4 national conferences during the post graduate period form 2007-2010 in ASICON and all India Colorectal Surgeons Association Conferences (ACRISICON 2008).
Awarded the “Best Research Paper Award-ACRSCION 2008 Mumbai” topic prospective study comparing stapled hemorrhoidectomy and open milligan morgan hemorrhoidectomy” Award handed over by Honourable Chief Minister of Goa, Dr. Kamath, at ACRSICON 2009, Goa and presented the same at ASICON 2009 at Coimbatore.
Best outgoing student of Manipal University 2010 and Gold Medal in General Surgery.
Contribution to the reference book- Manipal Manual of Surgery 3rd edition. Edited partly and contributed text to it and research paper on hemorrhoids mentioned in the book.
Worked in Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital, Mumbai as senior resident for a year in the field of Surgical Oncology.
Worked with Dr. Shailesh Puntambekar, for laparoscopic and robotic onco surgeries at Galaxy Care Laparoscopic Institute, Pune, for a year.
Taken Diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery from Geissen and Aachen University, Germany in 2010.
Completed fellowship in Advanced Interventional GI Endoscopy and Colonoscopy with Dr. Amit Maydeo, Mumbai.
He has started the 3C Cancer Care Centre at Vapi in 2012 March & joined his parents.
He is presently working as a Cancer & Laparoscopic Surgeon at Vapi, Killa Pardi & visiting Surat.
In the last 2 years, he has developed Laparoscopy and Cancer Department in Vapi and has already done over 600 surgeries.
Has been awarded the Youth Icon of the year award by Dainik Bhaskar Group for Valsad District for Cancer awareness initiative. Has been invited as the youngest speaker from India to present his work in Lap & Cancer at Asian American Corporation Summit at Honolulu, USA in Feb 2014.
He has started the Nadkarni Medical Foundation which is taking initiation for Cancer awareness in the district and giving subsidised chemo therapy and surgery to poor people. He has given over 75 lectures and 10 major free camps in last 2 years.
Dr. Vaibhav Nadkarni
Vaibhav Nadkarni, is a youngest son of Dr. Purnima & Dr. Kishore Nadkarni is an all-round student of Vallabh Ashram school, Killa Pardi. Vaibhav was brilliant in school in studies as well as extracurricular activities. He represented his school in acting, singing, badminton, elocution & debates & achieved many medals & prizes. Vaibhav stood first in Vallabh Ashram school in 2009, in 12th CBSC securing 94% marks in science subjects. Vaibhav entered V.S. Medical College, Ahmedabad for his MBBS studies where he became Mr. Fresher due to his all round nature. He also represented his Medical College in badminton in which he was first in all finals in Ahmedabad as well as in Gujarat.
After completing his Post Graduation, Dr. Vaibhav had joined his elder sister Dr. pooja Nadkarni in Surat. Presently Dr. Vaibhav is the Chief Gynaecologist at 21st Century Hospital Pvt. Ltd Vapi..
